Well, it's been a very exciting week at the Bloodworth house as we continue to battle the Noro-Virus .... also known as the "Lysol-spraying, Laundry-inducing" stomach bug! I had it last Thursday night through Friday; Stewart contracted it on Saturday and is still struggling with it; the kids threw up a few times between Sunday and Monday but seemed to be doing much better. Well, night before last, their poor little bottoms had a run at it ... no pun intended ... but they were better yesterday afternoon - so we went to the circus - more on that later! And, then this morning, Ian chugged a big glass of milk when he woke up and ended up throwing that up a couple of hours later! So, who knows?! I hope that's the last of it!! Our helper, Gina, kept the kids on Tuesday and then cleaned the house yesterday and now she has it ... so it is definitely "still in the air" around here! I've Lysoled until I can no longer smell it!
But, last night, tickets to the circus were only $13/ticket for all seats so I thought we would take the kids - it being their first time and all, I figured if they had a major meltdown during the opening act, we would only be out $50! Well, they definitely did not meltdown - in fact, they were enamored with it from the beginning! It started at 7:30 p.m. and lasted a solid 2 hours - they made it all the way through without any issues! Ian loved every act - Bonner liked dancing to the music! I'll try to post some pictures soon!
Many of you know that Ian's breathing is still an issue as it is very noisy at times and we feel like we have experienced the croop more often than others and we have a constant cough! Well, after our pediatrician visit last week, we agreed that we needed to get him looked at sooner rather than later. So, after several phone calls, the procedure has been scheduled for 8 a.m. tomorrow morning - FRIDAY! We would just ask for some special prayers tonight that we wouldn't be anxious about him being sedated again; that the surgeon would be able to identify specifically what's going on; and, that Ian would wake up from sedation as his happy usual self! The procedure shouldn't last too long so we'll try to post an update as soon as possible! And, of course, pray that Bonner wouldn't miss Ian too bad while she's holding the fort down at school :-)
We have big plans for the weekend - there is a dog show in town that we would like to take the kids to and we are meeting with the other 2 children being honored at the Heart Ball on Saturday. Our fingers are crossed that we will all remain healthy from here on ...
Love,
Jennifer
