Circus Picturess and a Busy Weekend

Here are some pictures from our Circus Adventure!

They opened the doors 1 hour before the show started and you could mix and mingle with the clowns and the elephants.  Bonner & Ian only wanted to see the clowns from afar!

This was the infamous clown car where so many clowns pile out - the clowns were all some sort of super-hero and it was pretty cute!  Kindof looks like the Batmobile!

My favorite part is always the elephants!  Here they are saying "Good-night!"

And here is this one - I told the kids that the elephant was going to do a "roll" - since they have recently learned how to roll, they thought that was pretty funny!

Bonner enjoyed standing most of the night so she could dance, dance, dance!  If you notice on her hand, before the show, they were giving out tattoos and Bonner, of course,  wanted a "sticker"!

I think this was towards the end when both daddy and Ian were worn out :-)

They were both focused on whatever was going on down there during this picture!
By Friday, everyone in the house was feeling better so that was good!  However, after Ian's procedure on Friday, we weren't really up for much excitement ... and we had a big day planned for Saturday!  Stewart's cousin and his wife were supposed to be staying with us over the weekend as she and her dog, Trudy, participated in a weekend Dog Show being hosted in Greenville.  Well, after our weeklong battle with the stomach bug, we called them and told them to "STAY AWAY!"  In the nicest way, of course :-)  However, they heeded our advice and got themselves a hotel room.  However, since we were feeling so much better on Friday, we decided to go to the Dog Show on Saturday to see Trudy perform.  Here are some pictures of the kids at the show and the beautiful and now CHAMPION, Trudy dog - she is a Norwegian Elkhound!

Not her best look :-)

Look at this little man - is he not precious :-)

And here is Trudy!!

After the Dog Show and a long nap for mommy and the kids, we went to meet the other 2 families to be honored at this year's Heart Ball - the Wrights, from Greenville, and the Athertons, from Asheville.  Between the 3 families, there were 9 children - the restaurant will never be the same.  But it was so special to meet the other families in anticipation to our special night.  Here are some pictures from our get-together!

These are the 3 "Heart Babies" - Ann Louise, Will, and Ian!

Proud mommy and her favorite Ian!

And, this, my absolute FAVORITE picture - it's a little glimpse in to his first date many years from now - I bet by then, those pants will be back in style :-)

It was a fabulous weekend and now we are getting ready to go to the beach.  We'll leave on Wednesday of this week and be in Wild Dunes through Sunday!  I'm sure there will be plenty to post about from that adventure so stay tuned!  Have a great week!
