It's hard to see but his shoes were covered in the seafoam - he thought it was so funny!
As you can see, Miss Bonner is elbow-deep in the sand; Ian is not a big fan of dirty hands!
And here's the proof - her hands are covered in sand; he could eat with his :-)
I am not sure when, but it seems that Wild Dunes was offering a kid's thing whereby they decorated this gingerbread house each day. We just enjoyed walking through it!
And, of course, cold or not, we love a playground :-) Notice our gloves!
Not sure what Micheal Jackson is doing here; but it's definitely hip!
Bonner started getting all of her "stuff" (notice my shoes in the midst so it was more than just her stuff - ha!) behind the curtains for a "tea party". She had stuff piled a mile high and they played back there for quite a while!
Ian really enjoyed the "curtain-hat" - new do for those of you that aren't hip!
On Monday night, we journeyed over to James Island Park for their wonderful light display. It's actually a huge production! The lights that line the streets are just one aspect; they have a little train that rides your through the lights in the woods; and, they have a merry-go-round. I hate to admit it, but my kids are so deprived - they've never been on a merry-go-round ... that was until this adventure!
Ian wasn't too sure about the train to start with ...
It took Bonner a minute, but she finally smiled ... a teeny-tiny smile!
These are the kind of lights that line the streets!
They warmed up ... of course, it was 75 degrees out that night!
Ian on the Merry-go-Round riding an Elephant!
And Bonner riding a pony!
One day we went into Charleston and enjoyed a little shopping! No trip to Charleston this time of year is complete without a visit to see the train set-up they have inside the Charleston Place hotel - it's beautiful! Ian thoroughly enjoyed it; Bonner was ready to get "shopping"!
"Oh, mommy, look at that cool train!"
"Oh, mommy, are we done looking at the dumb train?"
Stewart enjoyed several early morning walks on the beach while the rest of us were still snug-a-bug! He got some beautiful pictures and some wonderful shells!
Thursday night, was the annual tree lighting ceremony on the Isle of Palms. We went last year and had fun so we figured, hey, we come down here 5 times a year - that makes us 10% residents so let's go back.
Me, oh my, is that snow I see on the IOP...
Oh no, it couldn't be ...
And you're right; they actually blew in snow into the crowd! It was hysterical - that big truck in the background is loaded down with bags of ice and that green machine on the left turns it into snow! The beach kids were going nuts!! Ian & Bonner weren't too into it; but, it was pretty funny to see people going to that much trouble for a snow experience!

After a long week, it does a body good to just curl up in the hotel bed and watch "Mickey and Minnie!"
As you can see, we really did have a fantastic time! I hope that your holiday cheer has gotten off on the right foot. Now, I've got to work on Christmas cards and getting our Christmas spirit apparent around our house!
