My Rudolph

When we went up to Roper Mountain to see the lights the other night, they had a little gift shop which worked out perfectly because I hadn't gotten the kids in their class anything for Christmas yet.  So, they had necklaces with bells on them for the girls and Rudolph noses that blink for the boys.  Well, I had one nose left over and guess who found it tonight ... you guessed it, Santa's Helper, also known as Ian.  He took quite the liking to it as he wore it after supper for about 30 minutes - watching TV, playing with toys, putting on his pajamas ... so cute!

Of course, he had to have his little stuffed Rudolph immediately!

He is such a blessing and times like these put the biggest smile on my face ...

I also divvied up the stacks of gifts tonight - Santa's elf, Amber, will be helping me get things wrapped in the coming days :-)  At times, I feel like I've gone overboard for the children - and I am sure Stewart will agree - but after all "the loot" was identified, I thought to myself, "Now, this is what makes Christmas fun!"  I don't want to diminish the true reason for the season by any means and I hope you get my point ... I just look forward to not really the kids getting new toys, but my getting to new beeps and songs to listen to ... I'm wearing thin on the current selection of jibber-jabber going on from everything electronic around here!  Ha!
