Here he is getting "all suited up" with Nurse Keisha!
Thanks to the Magna Doodle, he was very still during the EKG.
"All free, mommy!" is what he told me after I took the EKG stickers off of him! I tried to get him to put back on his shirt, but no chance!
Aren't we glad that germs aren't an issue anymore ... yeh, right? As he rolls around all over the hospital floor! YIKES!
You can't see his left-hand but he's pointing up at the screen and saying "Ian's heart" during his echo! So funny!
The sweet Echo Tech gave him a green "soccerball" as he called it (actually it was a sucker) and a matchin green sticker! Something on the wall was clearly more important thanto look at the camera! Ha!
All and all, it was a great appointment. The doctor said that his pulse was good; EKG looked "text-book" for a Tet repair; and that his echo was the same as last year. And, the best news, we will go back in a year! So, I breathe a huge sigh of relief this morning and thank God above for another good report! I didn't get a picture of him with the blood-pressure cuff on his arm, but when the nurse put it on his little arm, he looked at the cuff and then at me and said, "Big band-aid!"
As we drove home, I was teaching Ian all about his visit. I taught him some new words like echo and cardiologist ... as I did I realized that it's important that he start understanding all of this as soon as he can since this will be apart of his life forever! He loved saying "echo, echo, echo" and the irony was not lost on me as he "echoed" the term all the way home - it put a huge smile on my face that he is so responsive, so smart, and so super cute!
But before you are finished praying for us, please throw up another for our beloved English Bulldog, Baxter. I am taking him to the Internal Medicine vet this afternoon as the regular vet found a tumor on his liver and an enlarged heart and/or tumor on his lung last week while he was being boarded. As so many of you know, Baxter has been with us almost as long as we have been married so he is definitely a huge part of the family (and was the best grand-dog ever... until Ian and Bonner pushed him to the side)! Please pray that the vet will be able to clearly see what's going on and explain to me the best options for him!
Thanks so much for your prayers!
Jennifer
