What a Fantastic First Day :-)

The pictures say it all... I was so proud of Ian and Bonner as they walked all the way from the car to their classroom with their backpacks on ("like Dora, mommy")!  They walked right in, we put their lunchboxes on the counter and their backpacks on their hooks, and they walked right in and started playing.  Bonner didn't even look up which was a true blessing!

They were "cheesin' it up" for mommy :-0

You gotta remember that the backpack weighs as much as she does so cut her a little slack :-)

Ian said, "Finally, she caught up!"

The place was mass chaos during drop-off and pick-up but my 2 seemed to have had a fantastic day!  As you can see, Woody and George, had to join them on their first day :-)  They were bouncing off the walls when we came home - high on school adrenaline, I guess!  It was such a pleasure to see them make the transition so easily to their "new school".  They even waved bye-bye and said, "Bye-Bye New School" as we were pulling away to head home!

Ian and I have the honor of telling his "survivor" story at an American Heart Association Board meeting tomorrow morning.  It was a last minute request because the scheduled speaker canceled at the last minute - but I am truly honored and really feel like this could be my calling with regard to our being able to spread the word!
