Trips Galore!

Well, I finally found my camera cord so I could download pictures for you to share in our adventures!  With that being said, prepare yourselves, we have alot of ground to cover :-)

SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR OUR NANNY!
The weekend of April 17th, we headed to Sylacauga, AL, to surprise our Nanny (Steve's mom) at her 80th birthday party!  On Friday, we drove to Atlanta and enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at the Georgia Aquarium.  As you can tell from the pictures, the fish were HUGE and the children were enthralled!  One of the first exhibits was the giant whale tank.  You "ride" down a slow-moving sidewalk and the fish are swimming all around you and above you!  So cool!

And, the kids learned that they LOVE a hotel room :-)
This was the hotel in Atlanta :-)

And, this was the hotel in Alabama - same look, different bed :-)

And they were really into the piano at our Aunt & Uncle's house!

And, check this "friend" out - Stewart found him in our pond last weekend - YIKES!!

I survived this past week with Ian and Bonner while Stewart was in Baltimore.  We had fun and called in plenty of "reinforcements" in friends and family to help out with the parenting!  Yesterday, Stewart & I volunteered at Hands on Greenville - we helped on a landscaping project at a local school.  Needless to say, I'm pretty sore today :-)  I haven't worked that hard in my own yard in a long time ... well, never, actually!

Today, we had a great day as we headed to Charlotte to see the rest of the Bloxam's.  We had a TERRIFIC time as the kids enjoyed playing with their cousins, Hannah and Scott!
Is this not the sweetest picture?  Never thought "flowers between boys" could be so cute :-)
And, isn't this so fun?  They were all 4 outside on the porch coloring - some of them were actually coloring on paper - my children preferred the cement floor :-)

Well, we have another busy week planned with Cinco de Mayo, Mother's Day, and my Birthday coming up :-)  I'm sure the children will enjoy "celebrating" all 3, right :-)  Ha!  We leave for a vacation week at the beach next Sunday ... I'm sure there will be lots of pictures coming from Wild Dunes!  Hopefully, these pictures can tide you over!  Ha!  Have a great week!
