We got home safe and sound Saturday afternoon from our fantabulous week at Wild Dunes! On Saturday night, we were honored to be part of a wonderful evening honoring our beloved neighbors, Ms. Rhonda and Doctor Johnny! They are coming up on their 30th Anniversary and their sweet children decided a while back to host them a surprise party to celebrate with their closest friends. We were tasked with getting them up to the clubhouse - under what pretense we weren't sure ... we were supposed to all be going out to eat downtown so that's where the pretense started! I came up with some sob story about some "old ladies" that had rented the clubhouse and they needed to have some help moving furniture ... well, they fell for it and were totally surprised! It was a wonderful evening and we were thrilled to be a part of it! We love Ms. Rhonda and Doctor Johnny - they are part of the reason why we can't move - it would cost us a fortune to move them, too :-)
On Monday morning, the new Children's Museum here in Greenville needed some toddler volunteers for a video shoot they were hosting. Well, of course, I volunteered mine right up and so we headed out! They were a little shy in the beginning - and were definitely the smallest of the group, but they held their own ... and since there was water involved, they were ecstatic!
The kids had a blast and we were glad to help ... who knows, maybe we'll be famous for our "wah-wah" performance :-)
Today, the kids went back to school after being gone for a long time. They were so excited when we drove up and they saw Ms. Martha come out to "get me" :-) And, today, they had the end of school party for the Tuesday/Thursday group - we are going on Friday of this week, too, so we'll get to enjoy another party on Friday ... but here are some pictures from today's festivities!
We also went back to gymnastics for the first time in a couple of weeks - it was fun to be back and the kids jumped right back into the fun! Have a great week! I hope the weather is as lovely where you are as it is here!
I plan on taking some pictures of the house tomorrow for the blog ... they did quite alot while we were gone last week - I really should have taken some "before" pictures so you could see the difference - but I'm pretty sure you'll be able to tell :-)
