2 Years Ago Sunday, February 13, Ian underwent his repair surgery for Tetralogy of Fallot at MUSC. We were home in 5 days and have not looked back! I wish it was something that was fixed forever; but, we know that's not the case. However, we are committed to letting him live as we know that God will tap us on the shoulder (or hit us over the head with a 2 by 4) when it's time to do something! In the meantime, we will continue to relish in God's grace and Ian's continued health!
Here are some pictures of our recent photo shoot :-) I try to take the kids to have their pictures taken every 6 months or so. I'm not a big fan of Christmas pictures - not because they are not precious, but because my children just do not handle the crowds very well ... so our last pictures were in the fall! And, I must brag on Bonner as this was the first picture-taking opportunity that she "hammed it up"!!
Ian has always loved the camera :-)
Also, please keep me in your prayers on Monday. I have battled the "loose skin" since the twins were born and I'm just tired of fighting a losing battle. I am going in for a tummy tuck on Monday and would certainly appreciate your prayers for a terrific operation, a smooth recovery, and a calm with the children as they understand why I can't pick them up, sit on the floor, etc. with them for the next few weeks. I know it will be hard on them (and me), but I am ready to turn over a new leaf in my life and I pray that this will be the kick-start to that transformation!
Love to everyone and HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!
Jennifer
