EE3 Teachers' Gifts

I served as the Room Coordinator this year for Mrs. Neely and Mrs. Greer's class and thoroughly enjoyed it.  In the midst of everything else going on, it gave me something to do - something to keep busy - and much joy to spend time with those precious children!  So as the school year has come to an end, I wanted to do something special for the 2 teachers ... and let me just say that the project sounded much better on paper :-)

I bought flower pots at a local pottery shop and took them to the classroom armed with 4 colors of paint.  Each child used their thumb prints to make either a frog or a lady bug.  I then took the pots back to the shop and painted the frog faces, lady bugs, children's names, teacher's name, year, etc. on each of them.

A week later, I picked them up and they looked like this :-)

And while they turned out so cute, as I was admiring my work, I realized that I totally misspelled the lead teacher's name - Mrs. Neely is NOT spelled Mrs. Neeley ... but it is on this flower pot :-)  Just par for the course these days!  Let's hope she isn't too upset tomorrow when the children present them to her tomorrow for the year-end Water Day!
