Merry Christmas

Bonner begged me last week to decorate her Christmas tree ... I hosted a baby shower for Justin and Taylor Friday night and just didn't want to put the pressure on myself to have the house decorated for Christmas by then since I was gone the week of Thanksgiving.  Anyway, I finally broke down and got Ian and Bonner's Christmas trees out and put them up in their room so they could decorate them.  They had a terrific time.  Bonner hung every ornament herself and Ian, well, let's just say he liked playing with all the ornaments way more than hanging them!  Here's a video of them enjoying themselves!

We had a terrific weekend - Friday night's Baby Shower was alot of fun!  It was a couple's shower with lots of Taylor and Justin's friends.  My dear friend, Gena, was kind enough to handle the flowers and keep the children for me - I am truly blessed with genuine friends that come through all the time!  The children stayed up too late and ate too much cake, but, hey, it was a party!

On Saturday, Ian, Bonner, and myself headed to Atlanta to stay with friends and enjoy the SEC Championship.  The game was, needless to say "to be expected", but it was a great time hanging out with friends that I haven't seen in a while.  The divorce has people caught in the middle which I hate; but I am so thankful that no one, at least so far, has alienated me at all.  I need all the support I can get right now, so to be included, just feels good!

This week, we are covered up with lots of fun holiday activities!  And, I hope to get the rest of the house all decorated for Christmas :-)  Pictures to follow, I'm sure!

I can't finish without documenting the latest sayings heard from Ian and Bonner.

Bonner Lingo
- "Mommy, I'm making a fancy dinner.  Do you want to come to my fancy dinner?"
- Me: "Bonner, you need to sit down in your chair or else I am going to take that cake away."  She sits down quickly and says, "I'm going to eat it all up, Mommy, so you can't take it." (Yes, people, this is what I'm dealing with - my mini me! Ha!)

Ian-isms
- "Mommy, those flowers are dead."  I responded, "Yes, they are right now because it's cold outside, but in the springtime, God will touch them and they will come back to life."  Ian replied, "Just like Frosty!"
- "Woody wears underwear, Mommy, but Bullseye (the horse) does not."
- "There's something in my shoe, Mommy."  Me: "Do you think it's a rock?"  Ian: "Maybe there's a snake in my boot." (Woody's favorite saying, of course)
