2011 Heart Ball

Stewart and I attended our 2nd Heart Ball this past Saturday night!  Many of you might remember that Ian was honored last year as one of the Heart Babies at the American Heart Association's Heart Ball so that started our tradition!  We love the girl that is responsible for putting on the function and we are thankful for the money raised during the "Open Your Heart" moment for CHD research.

This year, we knew one of the Heart Babies, Elsie, very good and had recently met Sam, another of the honorees ... both are Georgia Bulldogs so, of course, we were going to support them!

This year, we had a great group of friends and family that came along with us for the fun!  And, fun, we had!  I am pretty sure I know now what the doctor meant when she said, "Don't cut too much of a rug... you've got alot of stitches!"  Yikes!! Was I sore the next day (and still a little bit, if I were to be honest)?  But it was so worth it!  We had a great time!

Here's our table :-)

Mary Ellen, Heart Ball Extraordanaire - and another UGA girl :-)

Good friends, Matt & Krista

Good neighbors (& friends), Bob & Gena

Beautiful Wylie Women & all good friends
Mary Anne, Mary Hunter, & Elizabeth

Mom & Steve - you gotta give him credit - he wasn't feeling all that good.  He left early and mom hung out with us until the end!

The Waite Family - Aimee, Sumner, and little Elsie!  Elsie had surgery this past summer (July 23) in Charleston; she's a trooper and so cute!  You can't tell from this picture, but she has this beautiful curly hair and she's super smart :-)  We were thrilled to be able to be there this year with the Waites!

And, Stewart & I did have 1 picture taken together, but I forgot to bring it home from work to scan it in ... I promise :-) I will!  Not trying to hide anything at all - not sure it's the "big reveal" many of you are looking for, but it's a little glimpse into the "new me"!  Ha!
